Ava High School Athletic Director Rex Sawyer recognized Brian Irby at the Spring Athletic Banquet for his support of the Bear Booster Club for the past four years.
Bryan Irby has announced he is resigning at the end of the school year, but will continue to actively support the Booster Club.
The current Bear Booster Club was established in the Fall of 2007. Bryan and Diane Irby had the idea of reorganizing the Booster Club over a conversation with friends. They pursued the idea and organized people to make their idea a reality.
In their four years of running the Booster Club they have started the Fall Kickoff and Winter Tip-Off, they have organized ad sales and sports programs for fall, winter, and spring sports. They were in charge of numerous athletic banquets and have worked countless hours to raise money for all athletes, sports programs, and to increase community and school spirit.
As they are stepping down as president they will still be active members of this program that they are so proud of. They encourage everyone who has not become a part of the Ava Athletic Boosters to please join this year and keep this great program going strong.
