If you have missed this amazing experience, you have missed a tremendous blessing.
The first Saturday evening of each month, pastors of different denominations come together in one place and by the empowering of the Holy Spirit, bring God’s Word to all who come out to receive it.
This last Saturday evening pastors coming from backgrounds of Baptist, Holiness, Nazarene, Independent and Pentecostal, seven anointed men of God all came together in accordance with the Holy Spirit of God. This time we had the pleasure to hear from a senior pastor of eighty years old to the youngest in his twenties.
This is how it works, the pastor of the hosting church, by the prompting of the Holy Spirit, picks the scripture to be explored. Then each guest pastor, by the leading of the Holy Spirit, gives their message on the same scripture.
This is the most fulfilling and amazing event! To hear God’s Word from His anointed men, all in one place at the same time. Each man speaks for only about ten minutes, depending on how many guest pastors attend. When one completes his message he “tags” one of the other pastors until all have spoken. The amazing thing is the consistency, the weaving together of the message, coming from different years of experience, different denominations and styles of preaching. This can be only of God, only by Holy Spirit prompting.
Before the preaching there is a time of community singing for about half and hour, which is another great blessing of joyful, praising song. There is a time of fellowship after the preaching that includes the sharing of snacks and desserts. So come out next time, bring you musical instruments and your favorite covered dish or dessert to share.
If you attend church only once a month, or if you attend church twelve times a month, this is the one event you do not want to miss. What could be more important or more encouraging on a Saturday evening? Watching TV?
The next “Tag Team Preaching” will be Saturday, June 4 starting at 6:30 p.m. for music and 7:00 p.m. for the preaching. It will be at New Hope Freewill Baptist Church, 205 NE 14th Ave., in Ava.
