It was a great Mother’s Day as I spent the day with my family. Several of them joined me for church on Sunday morning and then I enjoyed eating with a few in the afternoon. A blessed day for everyone.
We are starting to see more visitors to the Chateau Charmant (the castle in Olga) as the weather has improved.
Great-granddaughter Reagan Inman celebrated her 3rd birthday on Sunday. It is hard to believe that she is already that old. It was the other day that she was coming home from the hospital. She grinned from ear to ear as she placed her birthday offering in the plate at church. After church a birthday lunch was held in her honor at Cracker Barrel in Springfield. Then it was back to Marshfield for fun at Rotary Park with her parents, Grandma Jeanette Evans and Maternal Grandfather Danny Cheek who is here from Hawaii visiting.
Later in the evening she was taken to Dairy Queen for ice cream and was joined by John and Becky Ramsey (her godparents) and then she was taken on a tractor ride (her first) by John Ramsey. I heard that she really enjoyed herself, made complete with pink overalls from the Ramsey’s. She is already a little farm girl.
It has almost been too wet to dig in the gardens and many are anxious to get out in the yard. I am sure that many in this area are hard at planning their yearly planting.
There is not much to report this way. We hope to see you out in this area in the near future.
