What a beautiful day for all our wonderful mothers. The sunshine and a pleasant breeze, not a rain cloud in sight. Our morning service began with the choir and congregational singing and then we were treated to the Mayberry Family Singers with Jake Mayberry accompanying on the piano, they did a great job.
Then Lola Mayberry sang and played guitar before the morning message.
Our Mother’s Day message was, “The Priceless Woman” from Proverbs 31:10-31. In an age and society where outward appearance is so often and so strongly emphasized it is important to realize that this description of the “Ideal Woman,” places the greater value on ethical conduct, moral actions and willingness to work. This woman is held in high regard because of her “character” not her complexion. She is admired because of her provision for her family not her proclivity for fashion. She is highly esteemed for her wisdom and care for others, not her waistline or photogenic features.
The only reference to beauty is that it is fleeting and of no great importance. You missed a great fellowship dinner after our morning service, we still have seats available if you can come and join us in worship, God bless you is our prayer.
