On April 21, Judge Craig Carter sentenced several people to the Department of Corrections.
Corrina Bingham, 40, Ava, was sentenced to five years after violating her probation on the original charge of possession of a controlled substance. She was also sentenced to 10 days in the county jail to run concurrently on a passing bad check charge. All restitution has been waived.
Timmy Caudill, 32, Oldfield, was sentenced to five years for possession of a controlled substance.
Michael Woodell, 20, Caulfield, was sentenced to five years for three counts of burglary in the 2nd degree, with the sentences to run concurrently.
The cases were prosecuted by special prosecuting attorney Donald Collins due to elected prosecutor Roger Wall being at a statewide training conference.
On May Law Day, which was held on May 3, the following people were sentenced to Department of Corrections by Circuit Judge John Moody:
Virginia Shea, 29, Squires, was sentenced to three years in prison after violating her probation on the original charge of possession of a controlled substance. Probation & Parole had declared her an absconder in 2009.
Christopher Berry, 27, Sparta, was sentenced to two years in prison alter violating his probation on the original charge of receiving stolen property.
Michael Strong, 35, Cabool, was sentenced to two years in prison for possession of methamphetamine.
Penelope Raymer, 45, Ava, was sentenced to three years in prison after violating her probation on the original charge of passing bad checks. Probation & Parole had declared her an absconder in 2007. Restitution has been waived.
Judge Craig Carter sentenced Marcus Sharp, 37, Conway, to six months in the county jail and gave the maximum fines for driving while intoxicated, speeding, operating a commercial vehicle with liquor in sleeper, operating a commercial vehicle with unsafe suspension, operating commercial vehicle without medical certificate and failure to keep driver’s log book.
Judge Carter suspended three months on the condition that he pay the fines and costs within 30 days or the other three months will be ordered served.
