Faith Rock Church

Hope all yu mothers had a wonderful Mother’s Day. We appreciate our children and husbands. We probably have flowers to plant for a week. We’re all so glad to have beautiful weather after all the rain.

It’s awful to still see all the devastation in Tennessee and others where the Mississippi is so high.

We want to invite everyone to our coming revival this next week starting May 16 through May 20 starting at 7 p.m. The evangelist will be Bro. Junior Hutsell of Mtn. Grove.  Our pastors are Bro. Bennie Dewitt and Sis. Loretta Dewitt. We invite anyone to come and bring your instruments and help us enjoy the presence of the Lord.

We were glad to have Bro. Bob and Shirley Fleetwood back at church Sunday after being gone to their daughter’s home in Wisconsin a few weeks. We sure missed them.

We want to wish Bro. Ross and Earnestine a happy 48th anniversary the 15th. Also Sis. Evelina Miller is having a birthday the 15th and mine is the 12th.

I enjoyed having our family together Sunday for Mother’s Day. Daughters, Sherry and Wes Wallace had us for dinner and we enjoyed having Teresa up from Branson. Teresa and John are getting ready to be gaining a son-in-law May 28th. The couple are planning a fairly large wedding and then heading for a honeymoon in Switzerland the day after the wedding. We all like Dana real well and his family are very nice people.

We were glad to give away three quilts today for some who lost their houses due to fire. Let me know if anyone out there needs quilts. We have several made.

Sis. Wanda and Glen Ray are already missing their grandkid. Kendra is graduating this Friday at Ava Victory Academy and then plans for college for both Michael and Kendra.

We missed Sis. Betty Hesterlee Sunday. Bro. Darrell said she hadn’t been feeling well. We missed you Betty. Hope daughter, Patty, and boys are fitting in at Ozark at their new home.

I think we had a great Mother’s Day service here at church. Specials flowers were given to Sis. Loretta Dewitt, to the youngest mother, who was here visiting her mom and dad and to our oldest mother, Sis. Carlene Willis. She said that she had received a flower in 1949 for being the youngest mother here at Faith Rock. It was then the Assembly of God Church. Her dad, Bro. Carl Willis was the pastor. Our pastor brought a very good sermon from Matthew 1:18-25 and Matthew 2:1. We had some good singing with several specials Sunday morning with quite a few visitors. Sis. Loretta brought the Sunday night sermon. Special songs were sung by Sis. Carson, Sis. Loretta, Sis. Lena Hutchison and Sis. McCaffie and daughter, Ashley.

We’re looking forward to a great revival and want to see the church full. I forgot to say all mothers here received a flower Sunday.
