We had a most wonderful Mother’s Day. The weather was so nice. We had a good attendance. Most of our mothers are young. I am just a step-mother, but we’ve got good kids.
Opening Sunday school, Joe Lafferty read the 126 Psalms. Lee Hampton taught our Sunday school lesson in Luke the 5th chapter. Wilma Hampton was back with us. She still is having trouble with her knees. We had questions and answers. Wilma enjoys looking them up. We do too.
Lee Hampton led the offering prayer. Congregational singing was Mother’s Day songs.
During the 11 o’clock service Joe Lafferty preached on Proverbs 31, who can find a virtous woman? For her price is far above rubies. Joe asked the blessing on God’s words.
We omitted Sunday night services. Don’t forget Friday Night Singing at Breedon. It’s on Friday the 13th at 7 p.m. See you all there.
