We stood to read our devotional from I Peter 9.
Prayer requests were given for Gary Duggar, the family of Bill Whittaker, Bob Siler, Joe Mason, the Willingham family, the names in our altar book and others. Mary Lou Hodges prayed this prayer.
Happy birthday was sung to Juanita Menzies. We will not say how many.
Testimonies were given about our Great God. We know God wants revival. Will we let Him have his way?
Brad Siler prayed the offertory prayer as he and Stan Humbyrd received our Lord’s tithes and offerings. A graduation invitation was read from Lee Edward Schmidt. He will be graduating from Ava Victory Academy on May 13th.
Dane Humbyrd and Nathan Luttrell will be graduating from Bradleyville School on May 14th. There will be a celebration dinner from 11-2 at the church in honor of Dane—our special boy.
Pastor Neal read from Luke 5. Christ teaches out of Peter’s ship. Let us go forth with a message. We were dismissed by Joshua Dalton.
6 p.m. services began with prayer by Pastor Neal followed by singing. Testimonies were given by several telling of the goodness of God our Father. LeaAnn and Erin Crum sang.
Pastor Neal taught from Luke 5. Jesus healing the man full of leprosy.
Food items were collected for Heart of the Hills Food Harvest. May 8th is Mother’s Day so no fellowship dinner so all Mothers can be with their families.
The 3rd Sunday, the men of the church will cook the annual Mother’s Day dinner at 4 p.m. at the church.
Each Tuesday is special prayer meeting and each Wednesday is Bible study. We are about to finish up the book of Genesis.
May is a busy month with Mother’s Day, Memorial Day and graduations, but June is also busy with camps at White River Campgrounds. This year, there will be four camps and Kiddie camp which is overnight with a parent. We are glad God has blessed with great facilities and many campers. Pastor Neal and LeaAnn will be Directors again this year. More about camps will be shared later.
