Oak Grove Church

Praise the Lord, if you are still able to read this letter then the wind hasn’t blown you away and the rain hasn’t washed you away, we still had plenty of seating at Sunday morning worship services so come, be our guest, first chance you get.

Our morning message was entitled “Washed Out” from our text in Acts 22, verse 16. “And now why tarriest thou? Arise, and be batpized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord. We discussed the significance of the participle “calling on” which alters the sentence to mean, “Be baptized, and wash away thy sins by calling on the name of the Lord.”

The evening message was taken from II Timothy 4:19-22, entitled “Apprecation And Edification” with Paul as a prime example. In this instance Paul shows his friendly, loving attitude toward his fellow laborers in the Gospel of extending his thanks and apprecation to nine people in just three short verses of scripture.

Women’s Prayer Group, meets on Wednesday, May 4 at 6:30 p.m. And all are invited to a Women’s One Day Convention at Clear Springs General Baptist Church, May 7, at 10:00 a.m.

If you come next Sunday you can help us celebrate the graduation of Miss Amanda Ray and Andy Mayberry who is receiving his Associate’s Degree.

Oh, feel free to come for Bible study, Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. Come be our guests, and may the Lord bless you, in our prayer.
