Mary Josephine Hampton was born Sept. 26, 1939, and departed this life on April 13, 2011, at age 71.
She married Delbert Hampton Dec. 5, 1958 in Ava, Mo., where they both lived in the Goodhope area and raised four children together. Mary worked at Fasco Industries in Ozark, Mo. for 38 years. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family, sewing, cooking, and reading, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Mary is survived by her four children, Tim Hampton, Cindy King, Tammy Patterson and Melissa Hampton; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Carl Leckenby and Butch Leckenby; three sisters, Mae Denny, Pat Haden and Betty Brown.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert Hampton; parents, Glen and Velma Buchanan Leckenby; five brothers, Jack, Buster, Don, Robert and Bill; and one sister, Peggy.
Graveside services were Saturday, April 16, at 2 p.m., in the Goodhope Cemetery.
