Four Ava High School golfers qualified for state sectional play last week and will tee off today at 9 a.m. at Marshfield.
Willow Springs won the district meet held at Mtn. Grove with a scored of 328. Mtn. Grove came in second with a team score of 375.
Medalist in the meet was Kyle Wake of Willow Springs with an individual score of 75.
The top two teams and top 12 individuals qualify to move on to sectional play.
Individual scores for Ava included Matt Irby 84, Dexter Fish 96, Cody Heriford 99 and Jesse Dean 102, all qualifying for sectional play. Trae Everett shot a 107 for Ava.
The Ava team is coached by Mark Wendler.
