Easter Sunday and plenty of rain to be had. One of the wettiest I can ever remember. Bro. Paul filled in for Bro. Marshall and greeted all. We had a song and Sister Naomi led in prayer.
Bro. Dallas began Sunday school with a prayer and a review from last Sunday. He continued on into the 13th chapter of Acts, verses 13-52. We had a lot of class discussion.
We sang happy birthday to Bro. Mike Jones. Last week we sang happy birthday to our little angel, but it should have been for her grandma Diane Bingham. Sorry for the mistake.
We sang some great hymns for the Lord and specials from Sister Juanita, Sister Peggy, Sister Ulla, Lucy Jones and her son and daughter. I am sure that Bro. Mike enjoyed it every much also.
Bro. Paul greeted everyone again and read scripture from Matthew chapter 28 verses 1-10. God gave him a good message for us. We closed with a song and altar prayer. We were dismissed in prayer by Bro. Dallas.
Our evening service began with our prayer circle. There are many in need of prayer – the sick, the lost, our families and friends. Many more are in need of prayer. Let’s remember our churches and pastors. They are a big part of our lives. We must make time in our lives for prayer and giving thanks for what we have. We are truly blessed in many ways. Bro. Marvin led in prayer.
We sang some great hymns. The choir was in good voice. Bro. Bion Irwin led in prayer. We had specials by Bro. Bion’s children, Bro. Marvin, Sister Ulla and Sister Juanita. It was a real treat.
Bro. Bion Irwin brought the message. He asked Bro. Marvin to pray before reading scripture from Luke 23:1-24. The Lord gave him a good message for us. We closed with a song and prayer by Sister Patsy.
We will be holding the quarterly meeting at Happy Home this Friday, April 29 at 7:30 p.m. Finger foods to follow the service.
Remember our revival will begin May 9 at 7 p.m. each night. Bro. Gene Terry will be the speaker.
We had several visitors Sunday. We are always glad to have visitors come and be with us. Until next week keep God in your heart and you will be blessed.
