Faith Rock

Hope everyone had a blessed Easter Sunday with good attendance for all church services over the weekend.  Actually Easter should be our most celebrated holiday of the year, being the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.

We had a good morning worship service with Pastor Benny Dewitt bringing a message on the resurrection and Sis. Loretta Dewitt leading us in some special singing and Ariel Conrad singing a special.  Sis. Loretta brought the evening message continuing on the Lord resurrection.  We had a family of visitors and they did some singing and Sis. Lena Hutchison sang a beautiful old song that we enjoyed.

I suppose most of us spent Sunday with family and friends.  We enjoyed dinner at our daughter, Sherry and Wes Wallace’s home. Their family was there the girls and Andrew, Kayla and Illa, our daughter Teresa and John Gloyd from Branson, Wes Wallace’s mother, Sue and his brother, Leslie Wallace and family from Wheaton, Missouri, Sherry and Wes’ next door neighbor and niece.  Everyone brought their favorite dishes and Wes deep fried a turkey.  We all enjoyed the company and good food.

We are not quilting today because of all the rain and flooding.  I was a little worried this morning as we drove to Seymour for the water aerobic class.  I always go up K Highway and I thought it might have water in one of the low places but it was just fine.  Cow Skin Creek was really rolling though.  We are still expecting to get more rain and then Thursday and Friday will be nice.  My neighbor and I hope to get things out for a yard sale.

I wanted to thank Kathleen Sparks for giving our quilters more material, I went one day and picked it up and we had a nice visit.  I also visited with Sis. Betty Hesterlee, she said her daughter Patty Tingler and boys were down for supper with them Saturday night and they had a nice visit.  Nathan has two more weeks of college classes here at Drury and will probably be moving to Ozark to be with his mom and two brothers.  I hope they will all like it there and Patty will like her new job and the boys will soon find jobs before they start college classes.

Our granddaughter Jordan will soon be out at SMSU for the summer.  She and Dana will be getting married May the 28th we’re all happy for them and hope all goes as planned.  Then back to school for both of them in August and they should both have their Masters Degree.  It’s been hard for both of them trying to hold down jobs and go to school.  We’re proud of both of them.

Bro.Glen and Sis.Wanda Ray’s two grandchildren will soon be off to college.  Kendra is doing her finals at Victory Academy and then go to college this fall at Bolivar and her brother Michael Young was accepted at the School of the Ozarks and will soon be off to school.  Their mother Carmen and grandparents are going to sure miss them, they’re good kids.
