Wednesday night Bible study is always enjoyed. Our teacher is very imformative. The young people have Chad and Chantelle Emmerson as their teachers and from all reports they are well liked. Our Sunday school lesson is always interesting and well taught. We have been in Jeremiah for quite some time but I think we could go back and find some more gems. Easter Sunday morning we were so blessed to have “CROSS” from Ava Full Gospel putting on their program. “CROSS” stands for Christian Representative On Signing Sticks. Lois and Victor Kilgore are the directors. Their performance was very well received. The scene with Jesus on the way to the Cross and the beating he received was very real and gut wrenching. It made the tears roll and my stomach clench. All of this he did because he loved us. What an awesome production! Thank you CROSS!
Prayer requests were many: Connie Hathaway’s grandson, Ray (Connie) and Leah Lee, Don and Ruby Graham, Pamela Reed, Marvin Graham, Preston Breshears, Harvey Cabot, Ray Patterson, the firefighters in Texas, our nation, Bevy’s sister Becky, Reba Nash, Donna Applequist and family. Little James Porter said, “Pray for PaPa”. Also Wanda Cox, Bevy-unspoken and our military men and women.
At our P.M. service, we read Matthew 24. It’s not the things you gather up, it’s the things you throw out. How will we be remembered when you are gone? Don Graham is always remembered by the love he shares for his fellow man, love for his family and his church. We also studied Romans 8: 28. If we love him we will keep his commandments.
You are very welcome to come to the Church of the Living God if you do not have a church home. We are at the corner of N.W. 6th Ave and N.W. 7th Street.
