The South Central Cattlemen’s Association is sponsoring a field day to be held Saturday, April 30, beginning at 11 a.m.
The event will be held at the Stoney Creek Ranch located two miles south of Hutton Valley on U Highway between Willow Springs and Mtn. View in Howell County. The farm is on both sides of the road.
Stoney Creek Ranch is a 1,200-head stocker operation. The program will consist of an overview of the complete cattle operation from the time cattle are unloaded off the truck until they are sold. There will be demonstrations of actual working of cattle, including vaccination, castration, dehorning, worming and sorting. The company’s veterinarian, feed supplier and ranch manager will field and answer questions about the operation.
Hamburgers and hotdogs will be served.
All cattle producers, business associates, and members are encouraged to attend. For additional information contact Wayne Nichols, president, at 417-277-5420 or email stockfarm @socket.net
