“After three days I will rise again,” Matthew 2b.

Amen, He did rise again. We celebrated Easter Sunday, April 24. We started early at Mt. Tabor Church for the sunrise service. We enjoyed beautiful singing by Sister Sandy Shumate, Sister Hellen Blakey, Sister Tillie Fowler, the Mt. Tabor Quartet, and Pastor David Dodson. Brother Dennis Shumate, pastor of Mt. Tabor accompanied his wife and the Quartest on the guitar. Each one was a blessing. It was good to be back at Mt. Tabor. I was saved there 25 years ago. Brother Jerry Hawkins was the visiting preacher that day and Tom Johnson was the pastor. They all have a special place in my heart.

Pastor David preached from I Corinthians, chapter 15 for God’s message. Because Christ arose we have the blessed hope of rising again also if we are one of His. Our pastors have important jobs, but the responsibility for church growth is on all of us. Christ told us to go tell. God please help us to be about your business of getting souls in the be saved. We had a wonderful altar service then enjoyed a huge breakfast. We appreciate Mt. Tabor for including us. We appreciate those from Black Oak who came to support us. To Leslie and Dianne, it was good to worship with you girls.

Brother Roy Frye read our devotion after we sang and dismissed us to classes. The children decorated crosses.

Brother Bobby Turley took up the offering and Preston and Hunter Adams did the penny march for Camp Piland.

Since there was too much rain all of the children received an Easter Basket filled with treats and running over with eggs. We appreciate all of you helpers.

We used the Ressurection Eggs to tell the Easter Story in Children’s Church.

Hunter and Preston and Pastor David all sang specials for us.

Sunday evening we had singing. We appreciate all who participated. It was a good worship service in singing, testimonies and prayer.

Hope and Megan were our visitors and we missed a few who were gone.

Please join us at Black Oak if you are looking for a church. We have Bible study and youth activities aon Wednesdays at 6:00.

May God bless you always and remember to keep Him #1.
