An 18-year-old Sparta driver was taken to Cox South Hospital in Springfield with moderate injuries Saturday after she wrecked her car west of Ava on Highway 14.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that Johnnie D. Teague was traveling west on Highway 14 when the 2000 Chevrolet she was driving ran off the roadway and struck a fence, a tree and a ditch.
The wreck, investigated by Tpr. Rob Crewse, occurred at 5:31 p.m., 13 miles west of Ava.
The Highway Patrol reported Teague was not wearing a seatbelt when the crash occurred.
