Sunday morning service was opened with prayer requests and prayer. We then enjoyed some good picking and grinning while welcoming everyone.
The beautiful special was presented by Curly and Janice Rawlings.
Brother Roberts brought the message from Luke 23:33, “Calvary.”
Sunday evening service was our monthly singing. We enjoyed lots of really good music and songs, especially little Gage Fowler who did a marvelous job of singing.
Several from Walnut Grove Church enjoyed the meetings at White River Association this week.
Special prayers are going out for Arleen Henningson, Joyce Erickson, Cheryl Hopper, Ruth Mahan, Preston Breshears, Glenda Sanders, Linda McCleary, the Joe Pete Miller family and many others who are sick or greiving.
I was surprised with a pot of tulips and a card from my secret sister at church on Sunday. I appreciate it, whoever you are. They are beautiful.
Delmar and I enjoyed a few days at camp this week (except when the wind blew really hard and was cold) and also visited with Betty and Justice DeChenne while there. We also made a trip to Silver Dollar City. Delmar didn’t enjoy it but Betty and I did. Delmar and I went to the Dick’s Five and Dime Store while camping. I love browsing in that store, it reminds me of the old time dime stores. On Friday evening, Delmar and I attended the music at the Senior Center in Forsyth where we visited with several people including Leonard Robertson, who was playing the electric steel guitar. It was really good music.
Nora Hunsaker and Lee Williams had lunch with us on Monday.
Delmar and I visited with Keith and Donna Bannister and Gary and Bevy Moore.
On Saturday evening Nora Hunsaker, Lee Williams, Brandon and Kendra Snow, Delmar and I enjoyed a fish fry at the home of my brother, Vern and Kathleen Deatherage. Delmar and I then took a fish supper from there to Jack Breshears and visited with him awhile.
Our new neighbors, Matt and Clarice Michael, made their trip to New Mexico and back, safely, this weekend.
Here’s wishing a blessed Easter for all of you in “Herald” land.
Until next week, try to focus on what Easter really means to us all.
