Last week I mentioned how pretty the dogwood trees were, well you should see them now. They are even more beautiful. We had to be in town on Tuesday. While having lunch at McDonalds, Dick got to visit with Raymond Bricker and Martin Hathcock and while I was in Town and Country he got to visit with Tom Johnson. He was telling us he preached at his church on his 96th birthday. It must have been the 3rd of April. He said he was feeling better, he looks great.
Julian and Becky Cavalier came up one evening last week. Julian made me a little wishing well. He made Becky a large one to set in the yard, and we got two of his cedar bird houses.
Friday we went to see Peggy Jenkins, she seems to be a little better. While there I found out my cousin, Goldie Miller, was in the nursing home. She had fell and broken her hip in three places.
We stopped to visit with Helen Dobbins on our way home. We hadn’t been home long until Helen called to tell us about Joe Pete Miller dying. His mother, Goldie, and I, are own cousins. Her dad was Audie Jenkins and my dad was Lee. They were the sons of Matt and Josie (Barnes) Jenkins.
May the Lord bless and keep us until next time.
