Oak Grove Church

Another glorious Lord’s Day at Oak Grove this past Sunday. We still have seating reserved for those of you who would come and be our guests, so please feel free to stop in and worship with us.

The morning message this past Sunday was taken from Hebrews 12:3, entitled “Consider Him,” referring of course to our Savior and Lord, Jesus the Christ. We explored the vivid picture of Christ given in John 19:1-5; when Pontius Pilate presented Jesus to the mob after he’d been scourged. Along with the statement of the innocence of Christ and the request that they “Behold the man!” Yet they showed no mercy. Neither do we if we reject Him now.

Our evening message was from Deuteronomy 12:28, about “Doing the Right Thing, the Wrong Way.” In this passage we are given direction that things “will go well” with us, “when we do that which is good and pleasing to the Lord our God.”

Further on in the book of Judges we are given examples of how wrong we can be if we only “do those things which are right in our own eyes. We should seek His guidance in every aspect of our lives and then follow His direction.

Come and join us as we worship the Kings of Kings.
