A new Casey’s General Store opened in Ava Wednesday morning.
Actually, the convenience store at the south junction of Highways 5 and 76 in Ava, closed Monday afternoon as Underwood Shell, and on Wednesday morning the store reopened as Casey’s.
Workers were busy Wednesday morning putting up temporary signs and replacing signs to correctly identify the business.
Casey’s will continue to operate the original store on East Highway 14 that opened almost exactly 25 years ago this month.
