Gentryville

Will see if I can write a little for the paper, this windy Tuesday morning.  Wishing everyone a joyous Easter this coming Sunday.

My sympathy to Doug Frederick and his brother in the loss of their mother, Phyllis Freeman.  Her memorial service was last Monday in Mountain Grove.

Agnes Williams, Karen Frederick and I ate supper at Drury one evening last week.  Agnes and Karen think it was Wednesday.  Thursday they  came over and Karen mowed for me.

Carol Wise and Ruby O’Shea of Springfield came down Saturday and they and Chris Hartzell took Ann Collins out to West Plains Saturday night to eat for her birthday(I won’t say which one).  Ted Collins also visited her Saturday and she got a call from Linda.

I talked to Glenda Lee one evening last week.  She had spent some time in St. John’s.  Trish Russell visited me a while Sunday evening and brought me an Easter card and the girls’ Spring pictures.

River Stillwood got back from Washington DC.  Bert and Dean Scherer had kept Snippets.  Janet Smith visited her Mom, Agnes Williams after school on Monday evening.

My sympathy to the Miller  family of Ava, and get well wishes to Shirley and Harley Hancock, Glenda Lee and others who are ill.

Let’s not forget to say a special prayer for all affected by the storms this past week.  Maybe the weather will calm down after Easter.

I got the cutest short phone call Sunday evening.  “G’ma ElMay, I pulled a tooth!”  It was from my great-granddaughter, Bailee Ella in Moberly.  She was so excited.

Maybe I’ll have more to write about next time ‘til then “God Bless and be kind to everyone.”
