Garnette Jean (Beaumeister) Kester, 78, retired Kester Truck & Auto sales secretary, McConnell Air Force Base secretary and Boeing Engineer, beloved wife, sister and friend, passed away Monday, April 18, 2011.
She was born in Stewart, Neb., to Albert and Ethel (Spangler) Baumeister, who preceded her. She loved her home, flowers, gardening, animals, bowling and golfing.
She is survived by husband, Dwain; brother Leonard Baumeister of Ozark, Mo.; brother-in-law Donald Gene (Betsy) Kester of Ozark, Mo.; nephew Danny Kester of Springfield, Mo.; nieces Laura Gay (Kester) and Ed Bowles of Springfield, Mo., Linda Belle (Kester) and Kenny Rogers of Nixa, Mo., and Meri Gene (Kester) and Scot Fultz of Nashville, Tenn.; great nephews Branden Kester, Jordan Bowles, Logan Bowles, and great niece Sara Bowles; great-great nephew Evan James Kester.
Service is 3 p.m., today (Thursday, April 21), at Baker Funeral Home, Valley Center, Kan. Memorials may be designated to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S. Market, Wichita, KS 67202.
