Dorothy Hanna, a resident of Davenport, Iowa, was born May 19, 1929, in Ava, Mo., the daughter of Otis and Ethel (Simmons) Strong.
On May 19, 1955, she was united in marriage to James P. Hanna in Bettendorf, Iowa. He preceded her in death on June 19, 1986.
On Friday, April 8, 2011, at the age of 81, Dorothy passed away at Trinity Pathway Hospice in Bettendorf, Iowa.
Those left to honor her memory include her daughters, Sandy (Myron) Linder, of Ellensburg, Wash., and Debbie (Tim) Wingate, of Davenport, Iowa; her son, Mike (Char) Hanna, of Leclaire, Iowa; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; her sister, Rozema Ritter; and sister-in-law Norva Strong.
