Thelma E. (Miller) Hoffman, 100, died Sunday, March 27, in the care of her family at her home on S. Lehigh Gorge Dr., Weatherly, Pa.
A member of St. John’s Church, Rockport, Thelma was the last survivor of the founding members of the L&L Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary.
She ran her family country store, Miller’s General Store, until the time of her passing.
Born in Lehigh Township, she was the daughter of the late Theodore and Jane (Newton) Miller.
She is survived by her two daughters, Thelma E. (Hoffman) Mork, Squires, Mo., and Barbara Lore, wife of the late Claude Lore, Weatherly, Pa; two sons, Wm. C. Hoffman, Weatherly, Pa., and Daniel Hoffman and his wife, Barbara, Weatherly, Pa.; nine grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 40 great-great-grandchildren.
Thelma was preceded in death by her sons, Richard, James and baby boy; brothers, James and Robert Miller; sister, Dorothy Miller; and husband Wm. C. Hoffman.
The funeral services were at Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home at 11 a.m. Friday, April 1. The Rev. Marjorie Keiter of St. John’s Slovak Lutheran Church, Landsford, officiated. Interment was at Union Cemetery, Weatherly.
