Smallett

Sunday morning service opened with prayer requests, prayer, welcoming ,and congregational hymns.

Sister Tillie Fowler sang a beautiful song for the special.

Brother Cody Prock brought the message from Genesis 5:15-23 and Revelation 3:15-22. He brought the evening message from Joshua 1:9, “Faith.”

Happy Anniversary to Kirby and Mary Mackey.

Visiting with Toby and Jacinda Sheppard, Kendra and Shelden Walker on Tuesday were Shawn and Alexis Swearengin and Miranda Milligan, Bob and Nora Edwards and Ryan Breshears.

Nora Edwards visited on Wednesday with Suanne Sutherland and on Thursday with Jim and Marilyn Sickler, Mary Mackey and Lauren Etheridge. On Friday, Nora Edwards visited with Raymond and Naida Haden, Doyne Huffman and Lavon Jones. Linda Semro visited with Nora on Saturday. Margaret Rosseau visited with Bob and Nora Edwards on Sunday evening. Nora was having a problem with allergies and didn’t feel very good.

We have all been praying for Preston Breshears and family this week.

On Saturday, I had the pleasure of rocking my youngest great granddaughter, Caidence Johnson, to sleep then later I got to bring the older two great granddaughters, Raylee and Caydee Burton, home with us and kept them until Sunday morning. I love spending time with the family.

Delmar and I went to an auction at Hartville on Saturday where he bought a garden tiller ( and I got a sunburned nose). I think that means he is planning to make a garden this year, I hope. I do love fresh garden veggies.

We met Bob and Linda McCleary at McDonald’s one day and had lunch together.

On Saturday afternoon we had a small, private memorial at Dyer Cemetery, (while they were having a memorial in Washington) for my cousin who passed away.

On Sunday, Stacie Hamby, David Hamby and his friend visited with us and enjoyed chocolate cake.

Until next week remember to always be mindful of others who may be having a rough day.
