Students at Ava Middle School, grades 5-8, will be doing MAP testing during the last two weeks of April, and parents can help their student children perform their best.
The Missouri Assessment Program (MAP) grade level assessments testing helps the local school, as well as the state, determine how well the school is doing its job.
Students will do their best when they:
• Get a good night’s sleep before test days;
• Eat a nutritious breakfast; and
• Attend school and arrive on time.
Perfect attendance and good behavior during testing will result in students being rewarded with the MAP Extravaganza on May 5.
MAP testing will be administered on April 19, 20, 26 and 27, from 8:20 to 11 a.m. Fifth and eighth grade students will be tested in the areas of communication arts, math and science. Grades six and seven will be tested in communication arts and math.
