Wednesday evening opened with singing. Bro. Jeff was our leader. He took prayer requests and Sister Melba led us in prayer. We have so much to be thankful for. Bro. Jeff taught in Romans 9 and 10. We had a good discussion on these scriptures with lots of audience participation. We also did some studying in Proverbs. We had a good Bible study. Bro. Hi will be our leader next week. We were dismissed in prayer by Bro. Hi Lambeth.
Sunday school opened with singing. Bro. Jack Essary welcomed everyone. He took prayer requests. Bro. Jim Lafferty led our hearts in prayer. Jack read II Corinthians 4:1-12 for our devotion. Testimonies were given by Jeff Shipley, Laurena Mitchell and Janice Lafferty.
Praise and Worship began with singing. Happy birthdday was sung to Linda Combs. God bless her with many more. Those singing specials were Laurena Mitchell and Melissa Harmon. Pastor Bill spoke from Acts 17:27-32 and I Thess. 1:5. There is power in prayer. We have insurance beyond the grave. When we ask Christ into our hearts we have assurance in eternal life signed by Christ in His blood. We ended our good service singing.
Sunday evening service began with singing. Bro. Jeff welcomed everyone. Prayer requests and praise reports were given. Sis. Doris Lambeth led in prayer. Testimony was given by Bro. Bill Austin. Bro. Jim Lafferty was our speaker Sunday evening. He used Revelation 22:10-11 and 14 and I Corinthians 11:28. We do God’s commandments so we may have the right to the tree of life and enter that city of God. We should do a self exam, repent and do His will daily. We must do His commandments to have this right. It was a powerful thought.
