It seems like April is moving along pretty good. It really started out here last night. It thundered so loud the windows rattled.
Opening Sunday school Joe Lafferty read the 24 Psalms.
Lee Hampton led the opening prayer. Lee Hampton aslo taught the adult Bible class in the first chapter of Luke. The second chapter as we all know is the chapter about the birth of Jesus. The wong time of year of course, since we are in the Easter month.
Wilma read the questions and we answered them and asked more for next Sunday.
Joe Lafferty led the offering prayer. We had congregational singing. Ashley Lafferty sang a solo and Sue Sisco also sang.
At the 11 o’clock service Joe Lafferty read the first chapter of St. John and asked the blessing on the reading of the word. Jesus came unto His own, and His own received Him not.
Ronnie Thomas dismissed in prayer.
Evening service starts at 6:00 with congregational singing. Susie Sisco sang. The first speaker, Jessie Lafferty preached on Acts 20:19 and led in prayer. Paul said I fought a good fight, I’ve finished the course.
Roy Hampton preached from Matthew 24:9 then Matthew 13:30 and also Matthew 36:50. These preachers are really improving. We had a short testimony service. Lee Hampton dismissed in prayer. Stay well and God bless.
