Black Oak Church

“Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life,” Jude 21.

Brother Roy Frye opened Sunday school by taking prayer request after congregational singing. Pastor David prayed and Brother Roy read II Corinthians 4:1-12 for the devotion.

We had lots of prayer request. God knows all about them. Please pray for them.

Hunter recited Matthew 28:20 and then sang for us. Pastor David sang and Dara Strong sang. We had several testimonies and a good spirit throughout the church in both services.

Hunter did the penny march for Camp Piland and Pastor David took up the offering. We missed Bobby and Angie, Annie, Danny, Austin, Sara, Bryan, Drew, Reece, Preston, Bailey, Tommy and Howard.

Pastor David preached from Amos 4:12. Prepare to meet thy God. He also used Hebrews 9:27.

Sunday evening Dara sang and we had good testimonies again. Pastor David sang then preached from Luke 11:1-13. Keep on knocking. Don’t ever give up praying and asking God for loved ones to be saved. We need to be sincerely praying for churches and preachers and those who will attend church on Easter. Folks can be saved on Easter. Pastor David was saved on Easter in 1988 at Goodhope Nazarene Church. What a wonderful day and it can be for others.

On Wednesday the youth studied about the Last Supper. We will be taking communion and having a foot washing Sunday the 17th at 2:00. We will have dinner following the morning worship service then dismiss the evening service. Pastor David will preach the Easter Sunrise Service at Mt. Tabor at 7:00 a.m. then preach at Black Oak. We will have an Easter egg hunt after church Easter morning. Please join us for any or all of it.

May God bless you always.
