Evelyn Loretta “Ezy” Milam, 70

Evelyn Loretta Milam, 70 years, 7 months, and 27 days old, passed to heaven on March 31, 2011 at her home with her family by her side.

Evelyn was born Aug. 4, 1940 in West Plains, Mo., to Noel and Elsie (Gregory) Foster.

Evelyn “Ezy” was a resident of Ava since 1993 moving from Sullivan, Mo., where her husband, Jim, worked for Chrysler for 25 years. On March 1, 1958, Evelyn and James “Jim” Milam were united in marriage and to this union two daughters were born.

“Ezy” enjoyed traveling with Jim, gardening, cooking and keeping house.

“Ezy” was a Christian and of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Evelyn is survived by her husband, James “Jim” Milam, Ava, Mo.; two daughters, Deborah Lynne of Houston, Texas, and Tracey Ann of Kansas City, Mo.; two grandchildren, Mariah and Adam; one sister, Dorothy, of Granite City, Ill.; one great-granddaughter, Dissiey Rae; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Evelyn were Tuesday, April 5, at 2 p.m., at the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, Mo., with burial in the Mt. Tabor Cemetery. Visitation was Tuesday from 1 p.m. to service time in the funeral home. Officiating was Chaplain Van Williams.
