Norma Stillings, who serves as a volunteer ombudsman for the residents of the Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare Center, attended the 2011 Volunteer Ombudsman training conference “Portrait of an Advocate,” Monday and Tuesday, March 21-22 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Columbia. There were sessions on Mental Health, Loss and Grief, Freedom from Restraint Use, and other issues that effect the quality of life of residents in Long Term Healthcare Facilities.
Norma was not able to call the neighbors for news this week, but should be able to do so next week.
