We started out our week here on Tuesday morning with our women’s prayer meeting. It is a wonderful time for the women to get together and have some alone time with God to lift up our requests for prayer. We want to extend an invitation to any women who would like to join us!
During Wednesday night Bible study we discussed Christian Discipleship and what it takes to be a true follower!
During Sunday morning services we had 18 attend. We had prayer requests and sang songs. Our morning message was delivered by Bro. Scott from Ezekiel 18:27-32, “The Christian Attitude.” It is a detrimental thing for the churches and for the Christians to be accepting and loving of all people. What has happened yesterday is done and gone, what we should be concerned with is today and where people’s hearts lie, through love and kindness towards those that are lost, we reflect the grace and forgiveness that Christ has shown to us that are saved by grace. Anyone who calls for the Lord to come into their heart can be made right regardless of their past, and as Christians we should rejoice when people turn from wickedness, and not judge. And it comes down to churches and what goes on within the walls of the house of God. Are we conforming to the world? Or are we conforming to the word of God?
During evening service we had 19 attend. We started out with prayer requests. Then we sang songs and had specials sang by Bro. Larry, Sis. Virginia, Aloma, Dee Dee and DiAnne. Our evening message was brought forth by Bro. Scott from Psalms 57:23-34 “trust In God.” How much faith in the Lord do we really have? When it comes to our health, do we have faith that God can heal? When we are financially bound do we have faith that God will never let us go hungry? Do we have comfort in knowing he is always with us and that He puts no more on us then what we can handle. Aren’t you glad that we have such an awesome God to lean on?
It is almost time for our revival and ours starts on May 16 this year and on that Sunday at the end of the week we will be having a baptism at Vera Cruz. We are praising the Lord for more souls!
We would like to invite all to come and join us for service. Our service times are as follows: Tuesday women’s prayer meeting at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday night Bible study at 7 p.m., Sunday school at 10 a.m., Sunday morning worship at 11 a.m. and evening service at 7 p.m.
