We had a good singing Saturday night. Those who were there got a blessing. If you were unable to be there, make plans for the fourth Saturday night in April. Hope to see you then.
The weather wasn’t so great this weekend but the sun came out for the Lord’s Day and it was a blessing. We gathered at Happy Home for Sunday School and Bro Marshall greeted all with a big hello. We sang a song for the Lord. We had prayer requests and there were many. Sister Patsy led in prayer. Brother Marshall read scripture from St John 8: 12.
Bro Dallas Hudson has accepted the position of our Sunday School teacher. We are so glad to have him and his family join us in our church family. He gave his testimony before he began the lesson. He asked Bro Marshall and Bro Dale to read from Acts 12: 1-25. Bro Dallas explained the verses with discussion from the class.
We sang Happy Birthday to Bro Howard who turned 89 yesterday. He was unable to attend because of his health. We miss him.
The choir was in good voice as we sang for the Lord. Sister Naomi blessed the offering. Bro Paul welcomed all. Specials began with Bro Marshall. Sister Juanita and Bro Marshall sang together. Bro Dale finished the specials with two great songs. We do enjoy having Bro Dale and Sister Carrie being with us.
Bro Paul read scripture from Luke 18: 35-43. He gave us a good message from God. We closed with a song and Bro Marshall prayed and asked a blessing on the food. We had lots of good food and fellowship. Following the fellowship, some went to the Fourth Sunday Singing at Faith Rock Church. There was a great crowd and lots of good music and more fellowship.
Our evening service began with our prayer circle. The circle was small but the Lord was there. There were many in need of prayer. Bro Paul led in prayer. We sang for the Lord and had specials by Sister Peggy and Sister Ulla.
Bro Marvin Loftin brought the message. We had testimonies from the congregation and then Bro Marvin gave us a good message from the Lord. He closed by leading in prayer. Bro Paul closed the service by asking Sister Ulla to lead in prayer. It was a good service. God was surely present. Have a great week. Keep God in your heart and you will surely be blessed.
