Wednesday, March 23 evening service began with singing. It was good congregational singing. Brother Jim was our leader tonight. He took prayer requests and we have much to pray for. Bro Hi led us in prayer. Bro Jim taught on Matthew 13: 36-43. We certainly enjoyed his teaching. Others in attendance read scriptures and gave good testimonies. The young people had a good choir tonight. Their teachers were Sister Janice and Sister Susan.
Sunday school began with singing. Bro. Jack Essary welcomed everyone and took prayer requests. Sister Melba Austin led in prayer. Bro Jack read John 12: 20-26 for our devotion. After a good Sunday school lesson our little ones sang for us. Jeff Shipley, Lonnie Combs and Charlotte Roberts gave testimonies. Praise worship began with singing. Hi Lambeth, Laurena Mitchell, Melissa Harmon and Charlotte Roberts sang specials. Pastor Bill Austin spoke this morning from Deut 6: 12-13, 20-21; 30: 13-16. Beware to not forget the Lord and what He’s done for you. When times get hard don’t look back; look ahead at what the Lord can do.
Sunday evening began with congregational singing. Bro. Jeff welcomed everyone. We had many concerns and Bro. Jim Lafferty led in prayer. Jim Lafferty, Jack Essary and Lila Roberts gave testimonies. Charlotte Roberts performed special music.
Pastor Bill spoke this evening from Mark 12: 18-34. “Not far from the Kingdom of God was his thought”. Doing good and being good is not enough. You must follow God’s word with all your heart. You must know that Christ died for you.
We were blessed with a spirit-filled Sunday. God is good. It is good to see how the Lord blesses us.
Sunday, April 3 we will have a guest speaker for our evening service. We will have dessert, coffee and soda after for fellowship hour. Come be with us.
