This writer and family have been to Lake Charles, LA to see Joe’s youngest sister. It’s a long trip and pretty tiring but we had a good time. Lee Hampton preached for Joe while we were gone. We missed being at church, but our kids had time off so they could drive us.
Opening Sunday school, Joe Lafferty read the 2nd chapter of Psalms and led in prayer. Lee Hampton taught Mark 15 in the adult class. We will finish Mark in one more chapter. We had our questions and more for next week. Joe Lafferty asked the offering prayer. The congregation sang a couple of songs and then Sue Sisco sang a special. Everyone is still having trouble with allergies. Joe preached on Mark 14: 53-65 and then led in prayer.
Today is the fourth Sunday singing at Faith Rock in Ava. We couldn’t attend as we had a death in the family. We went to the visitation in Springfield.
After the invitation song, Jessie Lafferty dismissed the service in prayer. We cancelled services Sunday night.
We hope everyone is recovering over flu and such.
