We thought Spring had arrived but then it snowed again. It is sunny this afternoon but still chilly. It is said that if you don’t like the weather in Missouri just wait a day and it will change to something you might like. That is certainly true about this Spring.
Our flowers are coming up outside and so are the weeds. Our lawn needs mowing already. We hope to start planting in the raised beds this week. Hopefully we will plant onion sets and maybe some lettuce, spinach and cabbage. We look forward to the garden season.
Our activities have been indoor activities this month. Anytime the weather warmed up the residents were enjoying sitting outside on the front porch or walking for exercise in the fresh air. Today no one has decided to brave the cold to sit outside. The weekend is supposed to be much warmer so perhaps the wind currents will bring a warm front in that will stay a few days.
Our volunteers have been so faithful to come in inclement weather and we appreciate the effort. We have enjoyed ministry, music, bingo and the usual games the residents enjoy.
We would like to welcome new residents David and Georgia Graf and Mabus Weaver to our Ava Place. We enjoy having them.
On this sunny afternoon we wish everyone warmer days to come and a beautiful Spring.
