Due to conflicting schedules, our “Citizens of the Month” were unable to join us for last week’s meeting. We are waiting to hear when that will be rescheduled. We did have several other things to discuss, however, including upcoming fundraisers and Chamber news. We also celebrated birthdays for Glenda Little and Greg Thompson with an ice cream cake donated by member Connie Cornelius.

Upcoming Events include the following:
April 2–Kiwanis One Day. We will be working on restoring our flowerbed in the park. We are also working with Parks Director Sherry Wallace in a Park Clean Up Event; 6 p.m. Chamber Membership and Awards Banquet.
April 7–Kiwanis Meeting at noon. That evening Ava Community Playground is hosting a Community Meeting and Dessert Dinner at 6:30 p.m. in the Middle School Cafeteria.
April 8–Kiwanis fundraiser at Highway House parking lot; time to be determined 7-5(?).
April 11–Terrific Kids, Ava Victory Academy, 10 a.m., Ava Elementary 2:30 p.m.
April 12–Chamber Luncheon sponsored by St. John’s Clinic.
April 14–Kiwanis Meeting, annual club election.
April 18–Terrific Kids, Skyline 10 a.m.; Plainview 2 p.m.
April 21–Kiwanis Meeting.
