The Ava High School speech and drama department, under the direction of Jason Macy, will present “The Diary of Anne Frank” this weekend in the Performing Arts Center.
Starting tonight, presentations will be given on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, and wrapping up with a 2 o’clock matinee performance on Sunday afternoon.
Evening performances are at 7 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults and $2 for students.
Reagan Taylor plays the title character, Anne Frank, with a support cast of Andrew Casey playing Otto Frank; Richelle Pettit as Edith Frank; Kristen Camp as Margot Frank; Casey Haden, Miep Gies; Sam Robertson, Peter Van Daan; Patrick Gateley, Mr. Kraler; Makenzie Watterson, Mrs. Van Daan; Jacob Madche, Mr. Van Daan; and Lucas Tabor, Mr. Dussel.
The play is based on the Holocaust and the lives of Jews living in hiding during the Nazi occupation of Holland.
