The Ava Community Playground will be hosting a community meeting and free dessert dinner at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 7th at Ava MS/HS Cafeteria to inform residents of playground progress, answer community questions, and provide information tables on all the different committees being established to complete the project in October.
Dessert and coffee/tea will be provided free of charge, however, tips for youth servers are appreciated and will be donated to the playground project. There will be several fundraising projects at the event so that everyone will have the opportunity to take part.
Bass Pro Shops has graciously provided some great turkey hunting accessories that will be given away as door prizes at the event! It’s free to enter, but you must be present to win. Everyone is encouraged to get involved and join us for a fun informative evening. We’ll be hosting a Community Spirit competition and the business, club or church group with the most employees/members present will receive a special Community Spirit Trophy. A trophy and special playground recognition will also be awarded to the Ava or Plainview school class with the most students and their families in attendance.
