A pesticide private applicator training session has been scheduled according to Tim Schnakenberg, Extension Agronomy Specialist in Galena.
It is scheduled for Monday, March 28, at the Municipal Building in Taneyville, beginning at 1 p.m. The session will last about three hours.
Missouri law requires all purchasers and users of Restricted-Use pesticides for private use to attend a training session to be certified for a private applicators license. The license is good for five years. This training is open to producers of agricultural commodities, 18 years of age or older, who need to receive a private pesticide license and those who need to recertify their license.
There is charge of $12 for materials payable at the door.
Schnakenberg suggests that pesticide applicators should be looking at their licenses for the expiration date to see if they need to recertify or attend a training session if it has expired. This type of training is required to recertify licenses.
Persons interested in attending who have questions about the certification should contact Tim Schnakenberg by calling 417-357-6812. Preregistration to attend is not required.
