The Norwood School Board met in regular session on March 16.
The agenda was adopted and the consent agenda items were approved.
Superintendent Don Forrest reported on budget and funding projections for 2011-12.
Dana Webb, elementary principal, reported on professional development and attendance.
Marcella Swatosh, high school principal, reported on progress reports, attendance and upcoming events.
The board approved hiring the teaching staff as follows: Deena Burris, Anita Crews, Angela Deal, Dana Gunter, Leslie Martin, Cindy Norris, Erica Peterson, Caroline Shull, Angela Tate, Valda Aguero, Bobby Cottengim, Courtney Davault, Margie Franklin, Clint Hall, Tyler Jones, Natalia McMillan, Amanda Parker, Cathleen Radher, Stacey McDaris, Melinda Vaughan, Jessica Schober, Kristy McIntosh and Megan Sowers.
The board also approved extra duty positions.
Resignations approved, effective at the end of the current school year, were from Stacy Zorn and Janice Sperry.
The next regular meeting will be April 13 at 5 p.m. in the Norwood School Library located in the high school building.
