The 20th annual National Christian Homeschool – Christian school championships were held in Springfield last week, and the Ava Victory Academy Girls walked away with the 16U Division 3A National Christian Homeschool/ Christian School championship trophy.
The Lady Crusaders road to the championship began on Tuesday of last week when they played against Trinity Christian Warriors from Lexington, Texas. The Ava team won 44 to 31.
This gained 3A division status and a game with the Southern Missouri Rush which was played on Wednesday morning. The Ava girls won 38 to 29. On Thursday they played Mountain Home Lions, and beat them 28 to 21.
Last Friday, the Lady Crusaders played HIS Eagles from Arlington, Texas, winning 41 to 30.
Undefeated in tournament play, and in their conference this year, the team has enjoyed a very successful season of play.
