The Lord has blessed us with some much needed rain, wonderfully mild weather and His beautiful good news of salvation. This Lord’s Day our morning message was taken from the fifth chapter of the gospel of Luke.
We looked at the “Before And After” examples of men’s lives from the lessons given through the first portion of that chapter. It is obvious in each of the examples given that all who come in contact with Jesus have only to believe and obey, to change their lives for the better.
From the Before of Lost and Alone, to the After of salvation, as a child of the King.
Our evening message was, “Persecution and Deliverance,” taken from our text in his rescue and release by the angel of the Lord and the ensuing persecution of the early New Testament Church.
We also heard about the benefit from the persecution, how it strengthened the early church by causing them to depend on the providence of God, instead of the patronage of man.
We have Wednesday evening Women’s Prayer Group at 6:30 p.m. and Bible study at 7:00 p.m.
