Hello from our home to your home. This weather is just plain ole’ Ozark Mountain weather. You never know from one minute to the next, what the weather will be.
Our Fifth Annual Bass Fishing Tournament will be held this Saturday.
Resident Council met and elected new officers for the coming year. They are Tom Hawkins, president; Leland Lewis, vice-resident and Maxine Lirley, secretary. Residents voted to have a St. Patrick’s Day residential meal with corned beef, cabbage and fried potatoes along with a fruit cobbler. Ombudsman Norma Stillings attended the meeting.
Evelyn Harper, Judy Kent, Darlene Sorenson, Norma Stillings, Ruth Evans and the First Sonshine Group was here for activities with the residents. They are a valuable part of our home. Our residents look forward to visiting with them each week.
The weather finally let us take a Sonic trip. Residents going on the outing were Helen Allen, Jean Morrissey, Norma Kennedy and Lena Carline. We went on a van ride down to VV highway and back up to the back of Emerson Trout Farm and back to town. Everyone had a good time.
Norma Stillings played piano music for the Saturday Morning Church group followed by the message with Bro. Tom Hawkins.
Larry Moore taught Sunday school. Girdner Church was here for the afternoon church service. Everyone enjoyed all the great singing and the message that was given. Redbank Church was here playing music and singing. Everyon enjoyed this service too.
Our hearts were saddened by the deaths of Robert Moore, Ethel Posey, Dorothy Siler and Robert Box. Our prayers and sympathy goes out to each family on the loss of their loved one.
Congratulations to Daniel Lawrence, David Matheson and Bertha Matthijetz on getting to go home this week.
God bless you from Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare Center in Ava, MO.
