Opening prayers to start our Sunday morning worship was by Doug Miller. After congregational singing, our Sunday school lesson was “Instructions About Worship”. Some different forms of worship are singing God’s praises, joy and clapping, praying for all people, giving thanks and praying for our leaders.
Our special song of the morning ws done by Wanda Casady, Faye Allen, Wendell Deo and Rod Welker. Our sympathy goes out to Stacey Welker in the loss of her aunt.
Several attended the benefit singing for Rev. Bob Huskey Friday night at Goodhope Baptist Church. Many thanks go out to everyone and their generosity. It was nice to see Erin and Josh Allen from Oklahoma at church. They were here visiting her parents, Rod and JoAnne Welker. Pastor Riley Hall’s message this morning was from John chap 11 and 12. By faith in God, Lazarus was a standing miracle. Raising of Lazarus made the Jews believe and come back to Christ. If we are in sin, we are dead spiritually. We were once dead and now we are alive in God almighty because of the blood. We should be ready when asked to come forth. Sunday evening as we all gathered to worship the Lord, good testimonies were given. Special songs were performed by Gentry Singers and Rod and JoAnne Welker.
Remember to keep James Coonts in your prayers as he is starting treatments.
Remember next Sunday, March 13, the Gentry Singers will be at the nursing home at 2pm. Brother Hall’s evening message was from Isaiah 35: 8-10. The “King’s Highway” is a highway from Earth to Heaven called the way of holiness. The Redeemed shall walk there, the unclean shall not walk on this road, only the pure in heart can see God. We are only pilgrims and strangers here.
We appreciate all the work Doug Miller did to get us some new signs for our church. They are nice.
God Bless.
