Bible study got off the subject of Peter for awhile. People had questions on other matters. It was a very good discussion.
In the youth study class with Chad and Shantelle, they had seventeen youth, Praise the Lord.
March 13 – Morning Service
Sunday after daylight savings starts makes a congregation look tired and there seems to be a lot of yawning.
Special prayer requests were many this morning. Maybe when good weather gets here to stay it will slow down. Requests were for: Netta Holt, Bevy’s father, Don Graham who is in the hospital, the military service people, Lorene Maloney who is in the hospital, Wanda Cox, Connie Halloman, Norma Fry, Pastor and Bevy, Lena’s great grandson, Dakota, Wayne Applequist who is in the hospital, Donna Applequist and the earthquake victims in Japan.
Someday say this: If you worry, don’t pray
If you pray, don’t worry.
Priorities – God needs to be our number one passion. Set your affection on things above. When we are drawn by the Holy Spirit, born again, baptized by water and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit – you are changed!! Your values are different, goals are new and you will fine tune your language. Your expectations are changed.
During the evening service special prayer requests were for: Norma Fry and her family, Wilkerson family, Shelia’s son and Ms. Carol.
All of us have read the story of the woman caught in adultery, the scribes and pharisees asking Jesus what he had to say.
Jesus said in John 8:7 “He that is without sin, cast the first stone,” they left, would we have left also? Jesus told her in verse eleven, “Go, sin no more.”
How do we as Christians see the everyday sinners we come in contact with, the drug addict, alcoholic, a homeless man or woman, the prostitute, the beggers, who doesn’t have a pleasant arom around him.
When God comes into these lives, they are changed, turned around, when they meet the mighty, holy all knowing Son of God.
Third Sunday luncheon after the morning service and the Sunday night singing. Come bring your instruments, your favorite hymns and join us and worship with the Lord.
We are at the corner of N.W. 6th Ave. and 7th St.
The Bible will not change, the gates of hell will not prevail against it.
