March 2 – We came together Wednesday evening at Caney to praise, worship and study God’s word. We started with congregational singing. Bro. Jack Essary welcomed everyone to service. Prayer reports and praise reports were given. Sis. Lila Roberts led in a prayer. Jack read James 5:5-20. You will be judged by God for your sins. The power of prayer will change you. Your sins can be forgiven and your body healed. The Lord Jesus Christ will lead you when you pray. Prayer is a terrific tool, use it every day. It was a good thought and wonderful scriptures were given in our discussion. We wish you could have been here. We know you’d enjoy it and learn with us.
Sunday school opened with singing. Bro. Jack Essary welcomed all to service by taking prayer requests and giving praise reports. God hears and answers. Sis. Laurena Mitchell led us in prayer. Jack read Hebrews 8:6-12 for devotion. After Sunday school happy birthday was sung to little Faith Isaacs. She is a precious one. God bless her. Sis. Tracy Shipley led our little ones in song. Testimonies were given by Jim Lafferty, Jeff Shipley, Charlotte Roberts and Hi Lambeth.
Praise and Worship began with singing. Those singing specials were our youth, Laurena Mitchell and Melissa Harmon. Pastor Bill Austin spoke this morning from John 5:1-5 and II Peter 2:19-22. Jesus has done great things for you. What are you doing for Him? Are you serving Him or have you turned your back on him?
Sunday evening services began with singing. Bro. Jeff Shipley opened service by taking prayer requests. Bro. Hi Lambeth led in prayer. Testimonies were given by Hi Lambeth, Bill Austin, Jack Essary, Melba Austin, Janice Lafferty and Charlotte Roberts. Those singing tonight were Charlotte Roberts and Jim Lafferty. Bro. Jim Lafferty was our speaker Sunday evening. He brought his message from Romans 8:18-20. The Christian life is not always easy, but the promise of eternal life will make it worth it all. We have to put effort into our service to the Lord. When are we going to wake up and realize time is running out. I wish we’d all be ready to meet Him.
Come and worship with us. You are always welcome.
