Here we are this Monday morning after a heavy rain late Sunday and it is cold out there today, but good weather after today is promised. I should not complain after what has happened in other parts of our world.
In spite of the change in time all was in church for the early services, and it was a good day to be in church. God’s message was, “Peace Is More Valuable Than Possessions.”
The Volunteer Banquet will be on Friday, this week at 6:30 p.m. Appreciation to all of our volunteers at Seminole. Marice and I will be there for this happy gathering.
We was happy to have Betty Chapman in the early church this Sunday after her long stay in St. Johns Hospital. Betty is now in the home of her daugther for a while.
I just received the news from my sister, Geneva, in Oregon last week that Faye Davis, of Mountain Grove, passed on to her heavenly home late last month. Her husband was my fourth grade teacher at Fairview. They both were always very special to me.
Wednesday this week from Seminole Church some college young men will come to do clean up around my house and yard. This is their way of helping senior citizens and I thank God for all the young at heart there at Seminole Church and all they do to help others.
There is never a day so dreary, but God can make it bright and unto the soul who trusts Him, He giveth songs in the night.
