Just a week ago Ava High School was still playing basketball, but now baseball season is upon us.
The SCA baseball tournament will begin Monday, March 21, with Ava’s first-round games to be played at home, beginning at 4 p.m.
Tournament games will continue on Tuesday and Thursday next week, with the location of those games to be determined as play continues.
Coach Rex Sawyer says he has a good number of players out for baseball this year, but because of the extended basketball season, and due to weather, practice time has been limited.
